I know, you never thought I would be the type to give up on Revelife. Well the truth is I have been a bit jaded by the way the front page has gone and it has just made me not want to be on here at all. I still wanted to contribute to the front page, but I guess everything is changed.
sigh.
anyway, in real life, there is not a lot exciting going on, as usual. other than finding lots and lots of brown recluse spiders and their babies all over the outside of my house. at least they are on the outside (let's hope!) and not inside...we are getting traps tomorrow because we read that is the most effective way to control this specific spider. it makes me wonder if we really did have brown recluse in texas because these are different, and after doing thorough research I am 100% sure that is what these are. the nests and everything are exact. it's a bit unsettling.
oh and shane and I broke our laptop...just the hard drive...luckily there was nothing too important on it and we can get a better one than we had for about $50. not like I am happy about spending $50, but I'm just glad it wasn't worse...so I am online more sporatically because I am sharing my dad's comp for the time being.
Shane is getting more hours at the farm, because it is so busy there right now. Not ready to hire him full time yet, but we are also just about done working off the trade for veggies so we'll get paid for Monday's too. So really Shane is just short of full time, which is really helping a lot. That and we're trying to work out some to lower some of our bills and our rent has already graciously been lowered and is helping us a lot. I am really surprised how much money we are saving on groceries with the farm, I mean, we eat a LOT of vegetables but that is a huge savings! We are getting more things like garlic and onions, potatoes, some fruit like peaches and blueberries, and all sorts of veggies. It is so fun. I have been experimenting and I even learned how to make beets taste good. Maybe I will post the recipe. :)
So I will try not to disappear totally. I do miss talking to some people on here. Sorry if I have neglected you.
